When you type your camera information into a DoF calculator, it gives you a few important numbers:

Near limit: The closest point to your camera that will still look sharp.

Far limit: The farthest point from your camera that will stay sharp.

Total Depth of Field: The total size of the sharp zone between the near and far limits.
