The Oculus Rift Compatibility Tool was a free Windows utility released by Oculus (now Meta) to quickly scan a PC’s hardware and determine if it met the minimum and recommended system requirements for virtual reality.

However, Meta has since discontinued and removed the official tool because the Rift and Rift S headsets are legacy devices, and hardware standards have shifted significantly. How the Tool Worked

Hardware Scan: The standalone executable performed a 5-to-10-second sweep of your system.

Target Components: It strictly checked your Central Processing Unit (CPU), Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), system memory (RAM), Operating System (OS), and the number of available USB 3.0 / DisplayPort connections.
